I've got four pages of moodpix ready to go, and I've put two up today. I've also updated the script so the navigation can properly find the next/previous page. Please enjoy this fresh recycled tubejunk litter.

I've thought recently about expanding my foraging into pinterest, tumblr and the aesthetic wiki since Porc mentioned them on his Neocities posts. That's probably a great place to find aesthetic moodboard materials, though I have reluctance about reports of AI imagery eating up the mass of Pinterest. I find female and gay spaces are excellent for finding nostalgic and emotional moodpix, though I'm not entirely sure why.

]]> New writing https://punp.neocities.org/writing/ Thu, 22 Jan 2026 0027 This was a great week. I finally lived out my library career ambition of telling a whole room to "SHH!", and it worked! It went from being really loud and chatty to people whispering and being quiet. Best part is nobody knew who shushed, so it came without the backchat and personal offence.

Got support from my colleagues on a customer decision too. Felt great for other people to have my back.

Been updating websites for my friends on the inbetween times, and finding more pics for moodpix.

You lucky things get two more pages of Moodpix from pictures I've collected over the long holiday. There's got to be a better pipeline, but I've not discovered it yet. A lot of manual renaming and sorting of files to make sure you get the very best of degraded internet trash.

For reasons explained in /writing/, I've removed the Movie Night from the nav (I'm no longer in charge of maintaining the log).

I've been collecting more materials for moodpix which I'm excited to put together. Maybe later this week.

I've started using dupeGuru to check for duplicate images, and it's saved me a ton of time with moodpix. I found some pictures had even been duplicated within the same page! At some point my moodpix folder got complicated when I forgot to remove things as they were added to the site. I hope this will reduce duplicates, ensuring you only have the freshest of stale reposted images scraped from around the net.

Moodpix was a real pain this week. Turns out I hadn't deleted any of the previous things in my moodpix folders, so I had to visually scan for duplicates. In better news, the sorting on the page has changed, so the names are reversed and alphabetised. This gives a seemingly shuffled yet consistent sort method.
